There was an article on the front page of today's Burlington Free Press newspaper about 06/06/06 being more than just a date. I had to go with it, thankful once again that I read a small town newspaper.
I'll let Thomas Hawk provide all of the original content for this item, including the subject line.
Bob Schneider: A Musician Who Gets It. Hawk convinced me to check out
Schneider's web site and music. I am now a big fan of both. Hawk provides an excellent write-up on Bob Schneider so I'll send you to it. He attended a recent show of Schneider's and included several photos. To demonstrate his point of how Schneider really gets working as a musician and finds new ways to connect with his fans, Hawk writes, "So I was really excited to hear during last night’s performance that it was being recorded and that you could buy a copy after the show of the show. I bought a copy, a 2CD set for $15, and the sound quality is outstanding."
A
great quote from Paul Kedrosky reposted
by Om Malik on the Google Spreadsheet. “How seriously are real users supposed to take this stuff? Google could cut off
any of these playtoys anytime, doubly so if they ever whiff on a quarter and
investors force them to focus on things that generate revenue.”
It's posts like this on
using your own SQL Database with ASP.NET Membership that makes my good friend Julie Lerman's blog one of the best around. She regularly provides helpful bits to save other developers much time and frustration.
I guess there are two types of people. Those who liked Peter Jackson's
King Kong and those who hated it. I
hated it. We didn't even make it to the island, I'm afraid. A recent film I DID enjoy was
The New World with Colin Farrell, a beautiful film depicting life in 1607 Virginia.
I sure hope Mike Arrington is wrong about
a PubSub Implosion. Having used subject-specific feeds recently I've come to really appreciate the quality of the results I get with
PubSub. It's my favorite blog search subscription service, actually.
