Just downright pretty, with a focus on Amelia Aerhart graphically and the book the site is selling.

Distinctive color palate. Excellent marketing site. Check out the video testimonials.

Effective use of color and background patterns. Torn edges aplenty here. I like the media galleries.

Very avant garde for a British bowling alley, but still a great look with a comprehensive feature set and effective use of transparency on a textured background.

They had me at the whale. Other than that I like the squared textured background.

Big fonts, fat horizontals, distinct content areas, smart contact form in footer with an “About Us” as well. Killer Slider featured, which is the site product, so they do a good job in highlighting it (though the asking price of $299 seems a little high to me…)

You don’t need a lot of colors to be colorful or a balance of light and dark to project depth. Simple and accessible.

The domain name for this fellow’s advertising site is wakesomebodyup.com. The distinctive graphics certainly achieves that. Even includes a “Dan wuz here” on weathered oak.
