10 Steps to a Hugely Successful Web 2.0 Company

Thanks to Jason Salas for pointing me to Charlie O'donnell and his post titled 10 Steps to a Hugely Successful Web 2.0 Company.  It's a list that articulates the approach I've been formulating in my mind for the product our company has been developing.  That product is not yet at a point for implementing some of this list's directives, but when it is I'll be walking the walk.  Now to implement an Open Source model that works.  I'll nail that down later.  Here are four of the ten items.

  • Get a responsive and chatty audience using the product.
  • Launch.  Now.  Tomorrow.  Every day.
  • Distribute.  Distribute.  Distribute.
  • Be mindnumbingly simple.
