1GB requirement on the System Drive to install Beta 2.0

...is simply goddamned ridiculous.

I went through the pain of getting the Beta 2.0 to the point of installing it a secondary server on my office network, one which isn't life-and-death-critical for me to do my job.  After reading in the readme and elsewhere that I needed a gigabyte of free space on the System drive to install the Beta 2.0, I spent quite a bit of time trying to free up room on my 3.5 GB system drive.  But I just couldn't find it.  And I didn't install the Beta 2.0 on my network yet because of it.

Disk space and RAM are objects which real, hotshot developers should have coming out their ying-yang, I guess.  I do what I can, but not every machine on my network can be state of the art.

To me, that 1 gigabyte system drive requirement to install the Beta 2 is just another example of Microsoft sloppy execution and arrogance.

I don't agree at all.  It's good practice to always have at least 1 gig of free space on your system drive.  And with the current sizes of harddisks, a 3.5 GB system drive is ridiculously small ! Smile
Seriously, disk space and ram cost next to nothing, and you can't blame Microsoft for you working on an old system that is not suitable for running modern apps like VS2005...
