A little web.config dab will do ya in CS 2.0

This morning I just could NOT get into the CS 2.0 Control Panel on my shared host to enter a new post.  Everything else was fine, but the site just hung when I clicked my Control Panel tab.  (After my previous post, maybe I should use the term "hung," but oh well...)

So I touched the web.config and allowed the site to spin-up.  When I hit the Control Panel tab all was well again.

Sometimes I think CS 2.0 is just too much of a hog for a single farmer like me.  I love every inch of her, but still...

This is the first report I've seen of this.  How long did it hang?  Seeing as CP references the ComponentArt assembly (and that assembly is gi-normous), spin-up time for CP could have been the factor.

I myself also wish CS was a little more modular, i.e. we could remove the assemblies we don't need to cut down on the bloat.  The dependency scheme is what prevents this though.  When CS is cruisin' she screams, but anytime anything goes wrong it is kinda a PITA to get everything back to normal.

So very well said, Young Man.  When spun, she smokes.  Any problems, it's PITAville.

Modularity would be nice, yes.

It hung forever.  Bathroom break forever.
