I agree with this post from Lorenzo who wants his old feed back. I was camping in the Upper State New Year Finger Lakes region and had my head down in putting this site together so I hadn't read weblogs.asp.net for a week or so. Now, suddenly, we've got Aggregators In Crisis, with Microsoft unable or unwilling to provide the bandwidth.
Excellent comments to a Scoble Post shed insight and possible solutions, including getting away from client polling, implementing caching/proxy solutions, better server response intelligence (implementation of 304/zip/deflate responses), and simple pay-as-you-go (yeah, with real money) to cover the bandwidth.
This might also serve as another reason to move from weblogs.asp.net. Individual feeds are supposedly not truncated, but still...
