This is a great control, based on the work of Scott Mitchell, Scott Watermasysk, and Scott Willeke. I don't use a calendar control myself nor find it all that useful on an individual blog, but it was on the todo list for my community .text project. As usual, it was a pleasure following the steps of such excellent coders.
I created a calendar.ascx control in the /skins folder, added it it pagetemplate.ascx, and added the .cs code found here.
Used Scott Mitchell's overall approach, Scott Watermasysk's good ideas on inheriting from the basecontrol and URL formatting, and Scott Willeke on Regex parsing the url to obtain the proper date. |
