My day was shot-to-heck after having my annual eye exam this morning. I had forgotten that the Eye Doctor was to dilate my pupils and afterward shine an intense light into both of my eyes to complete a vision scramble that would cripple my coding for the rest of the workday.
Back at my office my coke bottom glasses were sitting beside the keyboard rather than on my nose because I could see “better” without them. I suppose I got a decent amount accomplished in spite of coding blind, but this incident was a reminder not to schedule eye exams when approaching a project deadline.
