CC5: Richard Hale Shaw - Hungarian Notation Sucks

Richard Hale Shaw presents...

Hungarian Notation Sucks: Patterns and Practices for Creating Re-Usable Managed Code Libraries, Parts 1 and 2

Richard did two back-to-back sessions to kick-off Code Camp 5 for me.  I didn't read the topic too carefully; I didn't have to.  All I needed to know was that Richard Hale Shaw was speaking about The Language...and I love listening to Richard Hale Shaw talk about The Language.

Richard covered a lot of ground, but did not cover nearly all of his prepared slides.  As Julie Lerman can tell you regarding my presentation preferences, I'm more a breadth guy than an in-depth guy, so I would have liked to have seen the rest of his material.

Richard gave an effective demo of using a Component as opposed to a class.  Drag, drop, this._someProperty and go!

I enjoyed how he handled a questioner that veared from the topic at hand.  He said to the fellow, "You've had your 15 seconds.  Come back and give a talk on why you feel it should be that way."  Nice.
