CS Queensryche Calendar Blog: Introduction

I recently created a CS2007 Calendar Blog which displays posts by calendar date rather than post date.  This allows a Community Server Blog to function as a true event calendar, allowing users to specify the dates or date range an item should display.  This mod covers a number of areas in Community Server and screams for a Queensryche Series to address the technical aspects required in making it happen.  Before I get into those Queensryche-inspired details I wanted to post a general introduction to the CS Calendar Blog as a point of reference.

It's hard to see from the first screenpic, but the post dates (in blue) are irrelevant, as posts are displayed by selected calendar date (in red.)  Display dates of the posts are specified on a custom Control Panel Post Editor page panel shown at bottom.

As I said, we'll dig into the technical details next time.

Tomorrow finally found me.
I'm hypnotized. I'm trying ...
to understand the chapters
of the path from my darkest day.
Searching the answers
but there's Damage!
