I know exactly what's going to happen with some of you guys. You're going to want to go to
Code Camp III, but you're just not quite sure you want to
register for the event and you sure don't feel like booking a room, not at this early date anyway. Then time starts to slip away and you realize that you're a tuber if you miss this free weekend of groovin' with other .NET nerds like yourself. So you pick up the phone and try to make a reservation at the
Waltham Westin and, damn, wouldn't you know, it's all booked up! Then you think, "oh shit!" and don't feel like scrambling for accomodations nearby. So you say to yourself that you'll make the next one.
Riiiiiiiight.
The moral of this story is that you have to follow
Jason Haley's advice, get off your butt and reserve a room asap. I reserved mine tonight through AAA of New England and paid $89 a night for the Westin single king room. There are places nearby, but hey, you might as well stay on the premises so you can enjoy any late-night geek events in the Westin Lobby bar.
I plan on getting a list of nearby accommodations, so check back. I called the Microsoft Office in Westin this morning and spoke to a woman who said she would email a hotel listing "shortly." Since that was this morning and she never sent it, I have to get pissy with her tomorrow. That kind of lousy service isn't supposed to happen with My Microsoft.
