The comment situation on my WebHost4Life-hosted blog is now resolved. Sort of. I say “sort of” because the fix that I came up with was to remove field validation controls from the PostComment.ASCX control. I arrived at that conclusion after comparing the HTML source from a Netscape page (Netscape posted correctly) and an IE page. In the crazy .Text world of HttpHandlers and UrlFormatProviders existing in a WebHost4Life Universe, fixing a Form Submit button by removing field validation is quite a happy ending to a latenight nerd session.
I wonder what was really going on? Ehhhhh, no I don't! I did post the occurrence in the .Text ASP.NET forum, so it will be interesting to hear any ideas.
Regardless of why comments didn't work, they work now, so please say “Hey!”
