- The Ajax Ninja, who blogged about ongoing problems with CS2007 on DiscountASP.NET, reports that DiscountASP.NET is discontinuing support for Community Server 2007 because it exceeds their 100MB app pool policy. More specifically, they've removed advertisements and "all content about CS" from their website. Sounds to me that with client-focused moves like this, if you need a host to run Community Server 2007 (on a Virtual Private Server, of course), that DiscountASP.NET should definitely get a look.
- Zeddy on netindonesia.net shares the details of his User Points CSModule. I'm sure it rocks with a name like ZedPointsModule(). Get your zed points here! I love that. "zed points."
- If you used CS2007.1 and have had more than 4 visitors to your site you probably know that CS2007.1 comment form messages are stripped of all line breaks. Ken provides a KB article with a link to a hotfix, and goes way beyond the call of duty by providing the updated source as well.
- Jon from Proactive Logic walks us through the various aspects of extending a User Profile in CS2007. A lot of CS source code co-mingling going on, but an excellent guide none-the-less.
- Dianne blogs about Community Server with a small rant, as she describes it, asking why it had to be so frustrating to write about a CodeMash speaker who didn't go by the name of Richard.
- Someone's serious about integrating SharePoint Server 2007 role-based security with Community Server membership. New MSDN article from Hans Hugli of Microsoft.
