I fly out of Vermont Wednesday AM and arrive in Dallas mid-afternoon, Lord willing and the TSA permitting. It's getting real. I am pumped, primed and buffed. Well, scratch that last part, but I am definitely pumped and primed to visit the rock-n-rollers of Telligent Systems and the swingin' CS MVPs who are flying in for the Community Developers Summit.
Tonight was family fun night when daddy bought some new pants and momma played the squeeze box all night long. I lost twenty pounds over the last couple of months (more on that another time), and I didn't want my pants falling down my butt while walking the sacred halls of Shangri-la. One thing I have to do yet is run out to Staples tomorrow and pick up a carrying case for the laptop. I was planning on using one of my wife's laptop cases, but my honkin' E1705 won't fit any of them.
Speaking of Nordic (my laptop's name, short for [NordicTrack]), it is now [DailyNewsShort] Ready, with everything I need to do my job and if time permits crank out the [DailyNewsShort] while in Dallas. The News might take a more abbreviated format depending on what else will be going on at the Summit, but I made sure tonight that I can transfer camera images to my laptop (using a Dazzle USB card reader.) So at the least we'll have daily images of the Summit to share with everybody.
