DBVT.COM Photos All Hopped-Up on Gallery Server Pro 2.5

Last week Roger Martin released the newest version of his spectacular Media application, Gallery Server Pro 2.5.  Here is his release announcement describing the upgrade.  One of the reasons I couldn’t resist upgrading within days of the release was the fact that Roger streamlined the app by removing the Ajax Control Toolkit, SQLite (replaced by SQL CE and Entities), three Microsoft Enterprise Practices libraries as well as three other libraries.

Since DBVT.COM is a Sueetie site, the upgrade happened on Sueetie.com first and will be available to everyone in the next Sueetie Release, v3.3.  As with any Sueetie Application Upgrade, apart from the upgrade itself is applying the Sueetie Framework extensions. Some of the framework extensions in Gallery Server Pro are membership integration, recent photos display, tying gallery, album and media object activity into Sueetie Data Core, Media Sets, Tagging, Event Calendar integration, Blog Post Thumbnails and Document List View.  Here’s a screenshot of the Sueetie Document List View Extension for Gallery Server Pro.  (Document List View is a great feature.  I just don’t have a use for it on Sueetie.com so I don’t link to it.)

I’ve always been a Gallery Server Pro fan and love the direction Roger is going with it.  He continues to add new features while at the same time making the application lighter and faster with each new release.

If you have a minute, come check out the DBVT.COM Photos all hopped-up on Gallery Server Pro v2.5!
