Dumbing down Feedmap to ramp up performance

I really like having Feedmap on my blog.  I don't like the fact, however, that sometimes my blog page hangs while waiting for feedmap.net to execute a script and generate the map.  So I dumbed down feedmap to eliminate that unhappy situation.

I started with a screenshot, then Photoshop'd the Feedmap image to look like the real deal.  It links to the enlarged local Feedmap with pins to local bloggers, just like the script.  Making this a static image is something that needed done.  I mean, it's not like the map changes and has to be regenerated every time.  The local blogger counts will change, but in this neck of the Vermont Wood, not all that often...

Unreal...I was just getting ready to email you earlier tonight to figure out how you changed the colors/got rid of links/etc...I just added that to my site earlier today and was poking around your source trying to see how you had "customized" it, and came to the conclusion that you must have done something like this as mine behaves/looks completely different.

IMO they really need to offer some customization options, though the default color scheme actually looks somewhat decent on my site.  Good job!

D'oh!  My "customized" version was supposed to look exactly like the original!  I shouldn't have changed the background color.  You guys with a good eye get me every time.  Thanks, Jayson.
