Dave Burke : Freelance .NET Web Developer specializing in Online Communities

Five Things

1. I am a U.S. Army veteran.
2. I used to be a university Assistant Professor.
3. I moved to News Orleans in my mid-20's with a few hundred dollars in my pocket, no job, no place to stay, and didn't know a soul in the city. After a few days at the Y, I rented an apartment off Bourbon Street and lived in the French Quarter until turning 30.
4. I supported myself in graduate school playing piano at Embassy Suites hotels, department stores and restaurants. I was known as the guy who did Stairway to Heaven.
5. I setup my first web server in 1994, installing NCSA HTTPd on an IBM AIX box.  Been making a living working with online applications ever since.

I tag Rick Reszler, Jason Haley, Julie Lerman, The Mabster and Geoff Appleby.

Haathi, With your fondness for the San Fransisco weirdness I'll bet you really liked New Orleans. Smile
