NO, AMZN, I'M NOT INTERESTED IN GARFIELD'S TYPING TUTOR! It took a while, but Amazon finally smartened-up their recommendations, giving you the ability to take things off the reference list. Here's
a screenshot for why I was recommended a Sinbad movie. I value good recommendations and discover new resources all the time through them. Good to know we can finally make them better.
DELICIOUS FOR LISTS. Another efficiency in using delicious is to provide a single link to multiple resources. I used the concept just tonight in listing
several articles I read on displaying the iTunes XML library with XSLT. Another example [via

2006 predictions. btw, Steve, I liked the old picture better. A LOT better...
DAMN, DUDE, LET'S NOT GO CRAZY WITH THIS BLOGGING THING. I saw a post on weblogs.asp.net the other day titled "My Last Post." I don't want to link to it if you haven't already seen it. Someone said something to him about an off-topic post or something. His final statement in his last post was "I'm going to spend more time focusing on my work." What struck me as hee-hee funny was that if you scanned his archive list you'll see an average of something like 3 posts per month since March 2003. Whew! No wonder he was burnt out.
CHRISTMAS HAULS. The Mabster Man provides us with a
complete list of his Christmas Haul. I was hoping for many more geek Christmas Haul lists. Saw a few. I'll contribute to the collective geek haul a
Cuisinart combination Coffee Grinder-Coffee Maker, Special Collector's version of 1953's
War of the Worlds DVD, and Shelby Foote's
3-Volume Civil War narrative.
NERDY PODCASTS SLOWLY COMING BACK ONLINE. The podosphere seemed to go dark over the holidays and is still slow, but a few goodies are out there. I enjoyed Tom Raftery's
interview with Marc Canter. Tom asked Marc what he thought of the Adobe, Macromedia merger (Marc founded Macromind), who responded something to the effect, "they can both go to hell." Not out of bitterness or anything, just that he didn't care for the technology of either company very much. Another tidbit was Canter saying he gets 4 hours sleep a night. Whoa.
Speaking of sleep...
