Guy Kawasaki Does Lists

I read Guy Kawasaki's Selling The Dream in the mid-90's but haven't really returned to his work until he started blogging.  Then again, I noticed that his Rules for Revolutionaries has been sitting on my bookshelf for awhile, so that statement is probably not altogether true.  Still, his blog is full a great lists like "How to be a Demo God."  Below are the bullet points.  Guy almost always provides details and explanation for his list items, so you'll have to go back to the source for the main course.

  1. Create something worth demoing.
  2. Do it alone
  3. Bring two of everything
  4. Get organized in advance
  5. Reduce the factors you can't control
  6. Get to it
  7. "Do the last thing first"
  8. Then show the "how"
  9. Cut the jargon
  10. Don't take any questions until the end.  (Sing it, Guy!!!!!)
  11. End with an exclamation point

Nice list -- I got the hint almost a year ago on this, and have been the better for it.

Robert, someone must have been a real bud to give you honest feedback on presenting.  You sure have gotten a lot of practice since then!  Thanks for visiting.
