I'm an idiot for saying this publicly, of course, but my WebHost4Life site has been ROCK STEADY since KC
migrated both my database and website to new servers a couple of weeks ago. Now I'm screwed for saying how great things have been since the move, but I had to give The Word. Anticipate site instability in the near future.
The remaining piece of the webhost puzzle is domain email services, and I've had occasional problems with email at WH4L since the beginning. In response to a recent helpdesk ticket I was asked if I wanted to move to their newest email server running SmarterMail. My dbvt.com accounts would be transfered, server IP would change, forwards and aliases would have to be recreated. No biggie, just something I hated to do since I always anticipate the worse.
Today I had email problems again and floated the idea of moving to the new WH4L email server. Johnny answered two specific questions I had about the move, to which I responded with much appreciation since so many tech support guys just don't answer the most simple questions. KC then entered a reply to the ticket, saying "let us know once you are ready for the migration. Thank you."
Well then! The deed was done. KC was on the case. I didn't waste any time and gave him the GO! GO! GO! to migrate my domain email to another server at his earliest convenience.
And it was smooooooooth! KC sent me an email when the move was complete a couple of hours later, told me to wait 30 minutes or so for the DNS updating to take place, gave me the new IP address, and to get back to him with any problems, of which there were absolutely none.
Feelin' like I'm getting more than my money's worth these days with WH4L. Thanks again, KC!
