Dave Burke : Freelance .NET Web Developer specializing in Online Communities

No DevTeach2005 posts this year

I decided not to go to DevTeach this year.  I have no compelling reason for not going other than I have no compelling reason to go.  The conference occurs over a weekend during which I'll have the house to myself.  If you're a nerd with a family you can appreciate the precious commodity of an empty house.  Coding around the clock with a few extra dog walks thrown in for balance.  I also don't need a coding boost at the moment, something to fire-up my interest in development like conferences often do.  I'll still be scratching the CommunityServer surface in June, and that's got me sufficiently boosted and my brain sufficiently full.

Have a good time at DevTeach, guys.  Sorry I'll be missing you.  Try to get to McLean's Irish Pub while you're there.  Its a 5-minute walk from the Sheraton.

the trick is to teach the dogs how to code & that'll give you more time to attend DevTeach or go the pub for Murphy's Stout..

You're right, SBC.  The trick is to find more time to do more stuff instead of just coding all the time.  As for the dogs, well, they're pretty worthless in that regard.  My three cats on the other hand show some promise.
