The question arose in Sueetie Forums this week on multiple content page groups so I thought I’d provide a real world example. Sue Pritt uses Sueetie to promote her Quilt Pattern business at SweetSeasonQuilts.com. She has three Content Page Groups, one to list her patterns, a second to provide links to her free How-To Guides, and a third Content Page Group for miscellaneous site pages like Policies. You can see how the content page groups fit into the site structure in the menu.
Here’s an example of a content page in her Patterns Content Page Group.
Creating Content Page Groups
Each of the Content Page Groups is created in Sueetie Administration. The first step in creating a Sueetie Content Page Group is adding them as Site Applications of the CMS Application Type. An important property here is the AppKey. In our case, the appKeys are “patterns,” “howtos” and “business.” These will be used in identifying the content page group and creating the url.
We can now work with the Content Page Groups and create content pages.
The url.config
The next step is to add the entries to the /util/config/url.config file. Here are the entries for the SweetSeasonQuilts.com content pages. Notice how the application key is used in the “path” property. Also notice that all content page urls have a “contenturl” property.
Our “contenturl” urls point to the content page group’s template page which we see in the /themes/THEME/pages folder.
