Scott Watermasysk blogged today that he's speaking at the New Jersey .NET Users Group on "How Community Server can make your application better." He will be "walking through the top 10 items you can 'borrow' from Community Server to improve your own applications and demonstrate how they are used within Community Server."
That's what I've been saying about CS (and before that, dotText) all along: they are beautifully architected applications that are loaded with advanced techniques and best practices that can make you a better developer. Hey, now that I think of it, the New Jersey presentation description sounds an awful lot like my description of my dotText presentation at Code Camp III:
In this session we will be digging into Scott Watermasysk’s .Text using the 0.95 and 0.96 framework to demonstrate how to extend .text to add podcasting support, searching, comment tracking, spam blocking features, sub-categories, and more. And while we’re doing that we will observe advanced ASP.NET practices in action like Httphandlers, business objects, data transformations, providers and base classes.
I wonder....
I never thought I'd hear myself say this, but you New Jersey guys are SO LUCKY!!!
