Someone give Carl some bandwidth, PLEASE

Cool Carl Franklin, the genius behind DotNetRocks, has spoken about his bandwidth problems recently, and he wasn't joking.  I'm into HOUR TWO of downloading the 45MB Kathleen Dollard show over broadband.  My throughput is an amazing 9Kbs per second.

This is one of the best podcasts in the land.  Someone please help Carl and Richard serve the Greater Good as God intended.

btw, there's an MSDN download page which helps, but its offerings are limited and shows are not available as quickly as on the DNR home site.

btww, another reason Carl and Richard need the bandwidth is so I can find them in my iTunes podcast directory!

Did you try the Bittorrent of the broadcast?  iTunes does not support bittorrent but on a Monday morning with enough people using bittorrent that should give you a very good download rate and also save Mr. Franklin some bandwidth.

Chris, I haven't found a bittorrent client or configuration I'm happy with and I don't want to open up a port on my router, I'm sorry to admit.  That's an excellent point, though.

I understand about the port.  I enjoy using Botornado myself.  I think that applications like BitTorrent will have to be used in the future so that a single source of data does not get "tapped" out.
