This site grows on you.  Well-done flash slider center area.  You see those popping up everywhere. I need to get me one of them!

The coolest thing about that center flash thingy is that it's done entirely with javascript (no flash).  There is a flash sitting on top of the logo that makes for the steam effect.  Excellent design chops all around.

Aaron,  Thanks for the comment.  And thank you for calling it a "flash thingy!"  I loved that. I looked for a reference to that type of control for 30 minutes until I gave up and called it a "slider center area."

And you're right, it's all javascript.  I looked through the source before posting.  And the steam effect is very cool.

Hey thanks for the mention, and the nice words. I was the lead designer/developer for that site. I was checking the Analytics for the it and saw a couple referrals from here.

That's so funny, when I was building the slider, coming up with a name for it was one of the hardest things, I called it "info_switcher", but now that I see it I'm kind of partial to "flash thingy" Smile

"Info switcher!"  From the lead designer himself.  Thanks for the inside lingo, Tyler.  But yes, Aaron's "flash thingy" nails it.  Congrats on the beautiful work.
