As I said previously, readers must dbvt.com/register for the option of receiving comments by email to be enabled. A persisted cookie eliminates the need for readers to login with each dbvt.com visit and comment. Known users' names appear at top right of the page to conform to the dbvt.com DotNetNuke design.
If the user is known, they have two different action prompts when entering a comment. One to subscribe to receive comments for the post by email.
And if they are already subscribed to receive this post's comments, an alternative prompt is shown with the option to unsubscribe, or stop receiving comments of the post by email.
If a user is not currently known to dbvt.com, the prompt below is shown, informing them that if they would like to receive comments to this post by email they need to either register or login to dbvt.com.
