I often tell people who ask where I live in Vermont that I "live in the 'Burbs. It took a move to Vermont to get here, but I made it!" I snapped some photos today of part of my daily running route and the picture below pretty much captures Vermont Suburbia. The Vermont 'Burbs usually consist of a collection of new, big-ass houses (the newer the development, the bigger the houses--and interestingly, the smaller the lots), but always with mountains somewhere in the background. The mountain in the background of this photo is Mount Mansfield, the location of Smuggler's Notch Ski Resort on the west side and Stowe to the east.
