The monopolistic playing field levels, but my MSFT stock is still in the crapper

Google makes its way into the sanctity of my pink bathroom and Apple wants to sue me if I don't tell them the origins of my output.

Google moves in with Auto-link and Apple sues small-time bloggers for their sources, I mean, come on.  MS could have muscled-in with auto-link type functionality but wisely thought better of it, and as for suing sources for product leaks, MS gets too much information out there too soon.  Phantom Software... Oh where Oh where has my Longhorn doggie gone?... Yes, it IS a wise investment to go to PDC...  You get the idea.

All of the sudden the monops are floating in the same soup and my spoonful of Microsoft is tasting pretty good.

Here's a great send-up video on the evil of auto-link.  (Thanks Robert Scoble.)

Here's a great video parady of Apple's 1984 superbowl ad.

Here's an engadget summary of Apple winning in court and interesting discussion following.

Here's one of many posts pointing out the wrongness of auto-link.  (From Tim Bray, through Scoble's Linkblog.)

And yet my MSFT stock is still in the poophouse.
