I'd like to compliment the good people at Microsoft who build such a wide range of products and services that help all of us make a good living building cool applications and increasing the productivity of our clients and users. It really is a wide range of fun stuff we can do with the products in Microsoft World.
And each of us finds our own little niche, and if we're lucky, in an area we actually like working in--ecommerce web apps, Smart Client apps, document management, whatever. And then we look out on the horizon and see the possibilities of what we could be doing, stuff we would HATE! But they're there for us if we want them; Microsoft provides the tools if we bring the love.
Tonight, for instance, I was scanning the MSDN Just Published feed headlines and saw "7 Things Developers Should Know About the Publisher 2003 Object Model, Part 1." As the gratitude started swelling up inside realizing I'll never have to know ONE thing about the Publisher 2003 Object Model (let alone seven), I felt like Bear in the movie Armageddon as they returned back on the meteor surface after jumping the canyon in the armadillo, "Thank you, Jesus, thank you, Lord. Thank you, thank you, thank you!"
