Tim Ewald at Vermont .NET Users Group. Holy Cow!

Tim Ewald spoke at the Vermont .NET Users Group last night on XML Web Services Tips and Tricks.  Julie said she'll post the deck at vtdotnet.org.  Tim was talking about Contract First, WSDL, nillibility and optionality, and I was thinking, "Holy Cow!  How does anyone know so much about a .NET area like Tim knows XML and Web Services????"  I don't know if I was ever so impressed with anyone's knowledge on a given area in .NET as I was with Tim's knowledge on Web Services.

And with some guys it's not just the obvious grasp they have on the topic, but the understanding they have on systems architecture and Big Picture.  Bing!

Tim is such a natural presenter as well, just flowed for two hours, and a really funny guy.

Dazzling, really.

He was awesome!  I loved his real world take on things.  When to work within the dot net framework, when to use separate tools,...  The concept that best practices evolve over time (during a discussion of VS2005).  And coding it up as we watched!  Examples of the discussion, not just scripted presentation demos - the guy can type!  Smile

Laura, thanks for visiting and for you observations to confirm I'm not just a Tim Ewald shill.  Yeah, I was pretty impressed with his typing abilities, too...
