To CS21: MessageID 43 equals Skin not Found

Everyone together now, "MessageID 43 equals Skin not Found.  MessageID 43 equals Skin not Found."

The top RSS and Atom Subscription Links on my blog are displayed in a simple little custom control I created.  Very unassuming control to take the Subscription Links, add graphics and arrange them how I want them in a Skin control.  Here's what it looks like.

The only thing remotely interesting is that to appear on pages other than my blog pages (like on the home page or photo galleries) I need to set the Application Key of my blog.  So when I kept hitting the redirect error page below I assumed that this was my problem, that a null or erroneous Application Key or some other SiteUrls.Config issue was causing the redirect.  I also broke out the control this time into a separate project and that threw me off, too (even though it being a problem made no sense.)

"MessageID 43 equals Skin not Found. MessageID 43 equals Skin not Found."

The hour between midnight and 1:00 AM, better spent sleeping, found me working through what I thought was a redirect issue.  Finally I made the connection and looked closely at the URL, which is when I dug into the source and found that MessageID 43 equals Skin not Found as listed in the CS.Components.CSExceptions class.  Adding the /Skin-BlogSyndicationLinks.ascx control to my CS 2.1 Default Theme skins folder did the trick.

Okay, the appearance of this message ID, while displayed helpfully in the URL, wrapped in a Redirect issue, and caught in an enigma, may not be the most obvious approach to revealing the underlying problem, but here's a picture if you encounter anything similar in your move to Community Server 2.1.

And "MessageID 43 equals Skin not Found. MessageID 43 equals Skin not Found."
