Al Gore gave the keynote at the We Media conference last week on the Marketplace of Ideas, on how the national debate has been consumed by our addiction to the one-way transmission of television and the conglomerate (and governmental) powers affecting the message. He mentioned his media effort created in the hopes of generating conversation, Current TV, and how the Internet still has a negligible affect on the national debate. Very valuable podcast.
