Ireland Bound

I’m heading to Ireland tomorrow for a week vacation.  I don’t have many more details for you at the moment, since it’s a normal Burke Family Vacation with my phenomenal wife making all of the arrangements and telling me what day and time we need to be at the airport.

Funny, I was talking with an IT shop in Ireland just today who I’ve been doing some Community Server Freelance work for recently.  Great company!  I’d love to pop in and say “Hey!”, but as Seth Godin blogged, they might be expecting George Clooney (or John Wayne) and then I walk in.  I couldn’t take that kind of rejection.

A long time developer, I was an early adopter of Linux in the mid-90's for a few years until I entered corporate environments and worked with Microsoft technologies like ASP, then .NET. In 2008 I released Sueetie, an Online Community Platform built in .NET. In late 2012 I returned to my Linux roots and locked in on Java development. Much of my work is available on GitHub.
