New Sueetie Downloads for v3.3: French Language and Lollipop Theme Packs

New French Language and Lollipop Theme Packs are available in the Sueetie Marketplace.  The Sueetonian of the Hour is eKyNoX who is solely responsible for the French Language Pack and contributed substantially to the updated Lollipop Theme for Version 3.3.

EKyNoX’s Language Pack covers the Sueetie Framework localization for French.  Individual applications perform their own French localization. The Language Pack Product Page includes additional implementation info.

The Updated Lollipop Theme Pack for v3.3 includes the complete Lollipop Theme and, as always, a script to quickly create a new theme using Lollipop as a template.  An important note regarding the Lollipop Master and Pages contents is that they contain post-v3.3 updates to streamline jQuery plugin loading and to better process Sueetie Notifications, a new feature released in Version 3.3.  In v3.3 not all pages are "Notification Aware."  The updated Lollipop Master and Page files with the new jQuery/WCF logic fixes that.

The primary focus of the jQuery/WCF updates was to move all .JS, ScriptManager and the Notify User Control load from the page level to the Master page wherever possible.  They can be, and are in a few pages, over-ridden at the page level depending on other jQuery requirements on the page and the avoidance of execution conflicts.

The Notification interval property was hard-coded in v3.3 when inserted into a page’s existing pageLoad() javascript function.  In the updated Lollipop theme files it is now set with the global Addon Pack "UserLogNotificationInterval" property.

Sidebar: Sueetie Marketplace Category Coolness

Adding our first Language Pack seemed a good time to modify the Sueetie Marketplace Category layout.  What we did was 1) change the name of the existing "Theme Packs" category to "Theme and Languages Packs," 2) add two subcategories and 3) move all products in the "Theme Packs" category to its corresponding sub-category.

What’s cool here is how the Marketplace Categories handle multiple category levels.  Here’s the Marketplace Main Category Display.  You’ll also notice how the product count within each category is displayed.

Then on the Category Display page, the categories are displayed with product counts followed by a listing of all products in the parent and child categories combined.

Back to the Marketplace Version 3.4 Lovin’ now that we’re done adding great product to it.
