RSS To The Sueetie Wall

Sueetie Wall Messages and Comments are now syndicated, so you can keep tabs on the Sueetie Wall action from anywhere. You can subscribe to a Wall and receive all messages and comments in a single feed. You can also subscribe to the comments of a single wall message.

Here are the locations of the subscriber links on the wall. The wall main feed on top left sidebar and message comment subscription link circled at bottom.

Messages and Comments in a Single Feed

It was important to provide a single feed containing all wall messages and comments. Viewing messages and comments requires a supporting NewsReader.  Here is what a Wall Feed looks like with messages and their comments in RSS Bandit.

Comment Feeds

As we mentioned, you can subscribe to the comment activity for individual wall messages. Here’s what comment feeds appear like in a browser, with the user’s name and message topic (if available) serving as the title.

Wall Subscription Url Format

For purposes of security, wall message and comment feed Urls contain unique guids for the wall or message. To subscribe to the wall feeds a user must first have access to the wall or be given the guid. Here’s the url to the Sueetie Wall Message Feed, for example.

A long time developer, I was an early adopter of Linux in the mid-90's for a few years until I entered corporate environments and worked with Microsoft technologies like ASP, then .NET. In 2008 I released Sueetie, an Online Community Platform built in .NET. In late 2012 I returned to my Linux roots and locked in on Java development. Much of my work is available on GitHub.
